Widely recognized as the preeminent banjoist of his generation, Noam Pikelny has been hailed by the Chicago Tribune as the “pros’ top banjo picker.” A founding member of the Grammy-winning string ensemble Punch Brothers—described by The Boston Globe as “a virtuosic revelation”—Pikelny has continually pushed the boundaries of his instrument. He was the inaugural recipient of the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass, as well as a two-time International Bluegrass Music Association Banjo Player of the Year. For this performance, Pikelny brings together his accomplished friends—Jake Eddy (guitar), Dan Klingsberg (bass), Julian Pinelli (fiddle), and Teo Quale (mandolin)—for an evening of boundless musical creativity.
