The secret\, according to Fog Holler\, is simply that they write and play bluegrass in 2025\, with similar intention but very different context from the genre’s originators. Inspired by a range of influences from The Stanley Brothers to Buck Owens to Meshuggah\, Fog Holler breathes fresh life into well worn forms like the murder ballad and the power waltz. He went on to serve as President of the Oregon Bluegrass Association and continues to host “Music From the True Vine” on KBOO-FM\, the longest running bluegrass show West of the Mississippi.  \nJosh’s influences include Ralph Stanley\, Larry Sparks\, and Bill Monroe\, many of whom are featured on the Josh Cole Bluegrass Show\, his podcast with nearly 200 episodes of traditional bluegrass recordings.  \nJosh has played in dozens of bands\, along with running his own hard-driving bluegrass band for nearly two decades. That’s why hometown fans have lovingly nicknamed him “The Elvis of Portland Bluegrass.”

SUMMARY:Tuesday String Band and Muddy Souls Duo at Sam Bonds Garage
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday String Band is made up of Western Oregon University (WOU) music students and alumni who are all dedicating their lives to careers in music. They love entertaining crowds with fast pickin’\, witty banter\, and string  band versions of songs from a wide variety of styles. The band plays upwards of 100 shows per year throughout the Pacific Northwest and they have performed at several major Bluegrass festivals\, including the North Cascades Bluegrass Festival. \nThe Muddy Souls are a leading progressive/jamgrass band based in Eugene\, OR featuring original songs\, virtuosic improvisation\, tight vocal harmonies\, and a high-octane groove that always has the dance floor bouncing. Formed in 2018\, the band has four albums of completely original music\, and has played nearly 300 concerts across the Pacific Northwest\, Canada and the Northeast including festival sets at Freshgrass\, Bridge City Bluegrass\, Oregon Country Fair\, and Wintergrass. They are currently planning their first European Tour for 2025. A gem of the Northwest music scene the Muddy Souls are sure to get your feet dancing and your face grinning.

The trio has toured throughout the west coast since 2024\, appearing at festivals\, venues\, and private events. dadweed released their first EP in Summer 2024 and will continue to release new singles throughout 2025.
