DESCRIPTION:Josh Cole has been playing bluegrass in the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years. It started in the late 90s\, when he first heard “Midnight Moonlight” from Old and In the Way. That moment forever bonded Josh to bluegrass music. He went on to serve as President of the Oregon Bluegrass Association and continues to host “Music From the True Vine” on KBOO-FM\, the longest running bluegrass show West of the Mississippi.  \nJosh’s influences include Ralph Stanley\, Larry Sparks\, and Bill Monroe\, many of whom are featured on the Josh Cole Bluegrass Show\, his podcast with nearly 200 episodes of traditional bluegrass recordings.  \nJosh has played in dozens of bands\, along with running his own hard-driving bluegrass band for nearly two decades. That’s why hometown fans have lovingly nicknamed him “The Elvis of Portland Bluegrass.”

Their newfound camaraderie produces an energy that is as infectious on stage as it is on record. So much so that in the summer of 2023\, they won both band competitions at Telluride Bluegrass and Rockygrass Festivals—a feat that had only been accomplished once before. DESCRIPTION:The Brothers Comatose are a roots-infused bluegrass band known for their infectious blend of Americana\, folk\, and traditional bluegrass. Based in San Francisco\, California\, the band has developed a reputation for their high-energy performances\, heartfelt songwriting\, and impressive musicianship. Founded in 2009 by brothers Ben and Alex Morrison\, the group features a revolving lineup of talented musicians\, but the core of their sound is defined by tight harmonies\, virtuosic string instrumentation\, and a foot-stomping\, back-porch spirit. In 2024\, the band welcomed multi-instrumentalist Addie Levy into the fold\, adding a new layer of depth and dynamic to their sound. As a talented fiddle player and vocalist\, Levy’s contribution brought a fresh energy and a new dimension to the band’s harmonies\, seamlessly blending with the Morrison brothers’ voices while enhancing their already distinctive bluegrass stylings.
