SUMMARY:Alison Krauss & Union Station at Edgefield
DESCRIPTION:For nearly four decades\, Alison Krauss & Union Station have upheld their legacy as one of the most influential and widely celebrated acts in bluegrass and roots music.  Known for an immaculately crafted but endlessly surprising sound that transcends the boundaries of roots\, country\, rock & roll\, and pop\, Alison Krauss & Union Station are putting the finishing touches on a new album to be released in 2025 – their first album since the 2011 masterpiece Paper Airplane—a critically lauded\, multiple Grammy Award winning LP that debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country\, Bluegrass\, and Folk Album charts. Over the years\, Alison Krauss & Union Station have brought their phenomenal live show to sold-out performances at famed venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre\, The Greek Theatre\, Radio City Music Hall\, and London’s Royal Festival Hall\, in addition to supporting Paul Simon in Hyde Park for his 2012 Graceland reunion. They now gear up for their first tour together since 2015. \nThe players – Alison Krauss (fiddle\, lead vocal)\, Jerry Douglas (Dobro\, lap steel\, vocals)\, Ron Block (banjo\, guitar\, vocals)\, Barry Bales (bass\, vocals)\, and welcoming highly acclaimed and celebrated tenor vocalist Russell Moore (guitar\, mandolin\, lead vocal) as the newest member – are five distinct personalities\, each of whom enjoys a flourishing solo career. But when they come together\, they transform into a peerless group of musicians who share a singular focus. \n5pm doors\, 6:30pm show\nAll ages welcome

SUMMARY:Josh Cole Band Bluegrass Matinee at the Laurelthirst
DESCRIPTION:Josh Cole has been playing bluegrass in the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years. It started in the late 90s\, when he first heard “Midnight Moonlight” from Old and In the Way. That moment forever bonded Josh to bluegrass music. \nHe went on to serve as President of the Oregon Bluegrass Association and continues to host “Music From the True Vine” on KBOO-FM\, the longest running bluegrass show West of the Mississippi.  \nJosh’s influences include Ralph Stanley\, Larry Sparks\, and Bill Monroe\, many of whom are featured on the Josh Cole Bluegrass Show\, his podcast with nearly 200 episodes of traditional bluegrass recordings.  \nJosh has played in dozens of bands\, along with running his own hard-driving bluegrass band for nearly two decades. That’s why hometown fans have lovingly nicknamed him “The Elvis of Portland Bluegrass.”

SUMMARY:Stillhouse Junkies and Never Come Down Trio at Troutlake Hall
DESCRIPTION:STILLHOUSE JUNKIES \nAcoustic adventurers Stillhouse Junkies explore the worlds between roots\, bluegrass\, Texas swing\, blues\, and rock. Their free-flowing musical interplay and improvisation make every show unique as they weave their way through high-energy\, intricately composed original songs\, never taking the same path twice. Based in the Southwestern Colorado town of Durango\, the band consists of founder Fred Kosak on guitar and mandolin and longtime member Alissa Wolf on fiddle. They’ve recently been joined by Nederland\, CO’s Matt Thomas on upright bass and Nashville\, TN’s Eric Lee on mandolin\, guitar\, and fiddle. Lee and Thomas formerly played together in the award-winning band Man About a Horse. \nNEVER COME DOWN TRIO \nFormed in 2017\, Never Come Down was born from the vibrant if not occasionally overlooked music scene of Portland\, Oregon. Much like the city that inspired them\, they’re a smart\, charming\, off-beat amalgam of varied backgrounds and tastes. In today’s paradoxical world where honoring tradition is often pitted against exploration and innovation\, the band confidently walks the line between the modern and the tried-and-true. They’ve gained a loyal following and continue to win over audiences everywhere from Reykjavik’s Iceland Airwaves to San Francisco’s acclaimed Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. They’ve gained the attention of industry veterans\, and toured in support of notable acts such as Yonder Mountain String Band and The Travelin’ McCourys\, among others. Never Come Down’s live performance never disappoints- with showmanship\, originality\, songwriting and musical prowess far beyond their years. The Never Come Down Trio is comprised of Crystal Lariza (vocals)\, Joe Suskind (guitar)\, and Kaden Hurst (mandolin).
