Vancouver Master Chorale, directed by Jana Hart and accompanied by Laurie Chinn, is thrilled to partner once more with Misty Mamas, southwest Washington’s premiere bluegrass band, for two performances of gospel, bluegrass, and American folk songs. They will offer stellar arrangements of popular hand-clapping, foot-stomping favorites — Misty Mamas will raise the roof with their spirited performance.  Darcy Schmitt, popular local blues and jazz vocalist and music teacher at Battle Ground High School, will be our guest vocalist.

In addition, we are pleased to welcome Tamding Tsetan to this concert. This multi-instrumentalist and vocalist was born and raised in Tibet. He escaped in his early twenties by making a 43-day trek across the Himalayas on foot to reach India, wanting only freedom and an education. His music is as fascinating as his life story.
