Kentucky based bluegrass group will join the Pacific Northwest based folk pop duo Phoenix for a concert at the Old Liberty Theater in Ridgefield, Washington on Saturday, March 11th beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Kenny Stinson has been entertaining audiences for well over 30 years. At the age of 16 he signed a recording contract to sing southern gospel music with his family. After touring and recording with his family for several years, he decided it was time to try a different direction.

Kenny has performed with several bluegrass groups over the years, including Jimmy Martin and Gary Brewer, Gary Waldrip, Dayle Eskridge, and James Monroe. In 2008 Mr. Stinson decided it was time for a band of his own, and Kenny Stinson & Perfect Tymn was born.

A family band, his wife Rhonda joins him on stage with her outstanding vocals. Her focus is on gospel music – but she can sing anything bluegrass with the true flavor of her roots and the bluegrass state of Kentucky.

Son Gavin Stinson provides the bass line for the band, allowing the talents of Rusty Farrell and Estep to shine through.

The duo Phoenix consists of award-winning songwriters, performers and recording artists Tim and Kathy Crosby. Having performed from Las Vegas to Nashville (and many spots in between), the Crosby’s are known for their song-writing abilities and entertainment style.

Phoenix has performed on the plaza stage for the Ridgefield Bluegrass and Birdfest many times, and is both popular and familiar with the residents of the area.
